HAW Representative Nominations Players Would all clubs please remind junior players that nomination forms are currently available for U'13, U'15 and U'15 boys and girls HAW Representative Teams. Dates for these trials are now finalised, with the boys trials to be held on Sunday 18 October and the girls on Sunday 25 October. Please note, the boys and girls dates have been swapped from the previous advertised dates, so please ensure your advise all juniors. Trials are from 8am to 11am, and all players are asked to bring 1 white and 1 black or dark blue shirt. If any players are unable to trial on this day due to other trials/trainings, they are till required to nominate, and they can indicate on their forms the reason they are not attending. At these trials a squad of players will be selected (those unable to attend for legitimate reasons will be considered for the squad) with ongoing squad training times to be arranged and final team selection for A (Zone) team and Development Team to be made at an appropriate time. Coaches and Managers Nomination forms for Representative Coaches and Managers are also now available. We encourage any person interested in taking on one of these positions to nominate, with nominations closing on 25 September. Trainee Coaches We are again asking that clubs look to nominate any person that may be interested in taking on a 'Trainee Coach' role. This position is open to any player no longer eligible to play HAW Junior Hockey. Once nominated, the person will be 'attached' to a senior (in experience) Coach, to help with trials, training sessions and on game days. This is a great opportunity for those interested to gain some valuable information from those already in Coaching roles. Clubs will be asked to help with the expenses of these trainee coaches if they are required to travel with the team, and in return, we believe that the skills they gain will be an asset to both the club and association.
