Fundraising – it’s in everyones benefit to become involved in fundraising. Throughout the year the Club holds events such as lamington and pie drives, sausage sizzles in Dean Street and raffles at Northside Hotel to name a few. These fundraising events help the Club provide the lowest fees in the association. If you are interested in helping out please contact Gay or Julie.
Coaches - all junior and senior teams need coaches. At present we have most team covered in this respect, if you would like to become involved in coaching a junior or senior team please see a committee member. HAW will be holding a level 1 coaching course in March, please see Gay Harvey if interested as the Club may be able to assist with costs.
Managers – each team needs a ‘non-playing’ Manager. The duties of team manager are to collect games fees, complete match book, handout newsletters etc. Please see Gay Harvey if interested. There will be a Coaches and Managers meeting on Tuesday 27th March 7.30 pm at AHC.
Umpiring – If you’re interested in umpiring this season or learning the rules, a clinic will be held before the season commences, please see Gay Harvey.
Rep Trials – haven’t been announced yet, please keep an eye out on HAW website or our future newsletters.
Trading Post – HAW are trialling a trading post where players can buy, swap or sell things. If you’re interested in participating please contact Dennis Martin at HAW office.
Minkey/U10’s – we will need 2 people from the Club to help run Minkey on Monday afternoons for 1 hour, no expertise needed. Minkey will commence after Easter. Minkey is where our future players are drawn from, so it’s important for our clubs participation to help it run successfully.
Northside Hotel – club still encourages all teams to go to Northside Hotel after matches for social functions and meals.
