Sat 29^th &  Sun 30^th June is  the Wodonga Hockey Club Day – Wombats, Scots, Norths, Magpies & Beechworth will all be playing in Wodonga over the weekend

Not only is great hockey to be played, we will have activities to keep the children amused with “Loopy” the clown, face painting, jumping castle, balloon, raffles and entertainment

We will have an all day BBQ each day, with our great “master chefs”, gourmet coffee and hot chocolate will also be available.

We will be supporting the Cancer Council Victoria’s “Call to Arms – raising awareness for mens cancer. We will be encouraging all players (& supporters) to wear yellow arm bands. Please make a donations to this worthy cause.  

The Wodonga (The Blazing Stump) and Magpies (Sodens) Division 1 Men will be playing for the Dave Chandler Cup at 3.30pm on Sunday 30^th at WHC.

There is a gerenal bye this weekend so there will be no local hockey, Unders 9's or Hook in2 Hockey. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend.  All the best to all representative teams that are playing in Canberra, Melbourne and Geelong.

The Board of Management is pleased to announce the appointment Ms Belinda Fraser to the role of administration officer.

Belinda will officially begin in the role on Monday 17 June.  When you see her around please make her feel welcome.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our interim administrator, Mr Steve McIntosh, for his work so far this season.  After coming in on short notice Steve has undertaken his duties with great enthusiasm and been a pleasure to work with.

The Board of Management seeks interested people wishing to nominate for the position of President of Hockey Albury Wodonga.  This position will be an interim position until the Annual General Meeting to be held in November/December this year.

If you would like any information regarding the position please speak with any of the board members. 

Nominations, by way of form in Appendix 1 of the Constitution, close on Monday 3 June 2013 at 5pm.  Nominations can be either posted, delivered to the office or submitted electronically to admin@haw.net.au.

The nominations will be assessed at the Board meeting to be held on the same day.  If there are suitable nominations a Special General Meeting will be called for 20 June 2013 to elect the interim President.  This meeting is the same day as the scheduled Presidents and Secretaries.

On 13 May Mr Bill Russell tendered his resignation from the position of President to the Board of Management.

The Board has accepted his resignation effective immediately.  The Board thanks Bill for his efforts on the role over the past three years.

We will provide further updates to the position of President on the Board as they become available.
