The Under 14s fixture is now complete. There have been minor changes to the Under 12s fixture to accommodate the Under 9 program.  

The first three rounds for the Under 12s & Under 14s has been added to the web.

 

All the remaining senior fixtures have now been updated. There have been numerous changes to the original grades so check carefully.

 

Well done to Ben Hooppell who made it through the trials to be selected in the Under 18 Victorian men's team to play in the Australian U18 Championships in April.

 

Under 16 fixtures are now on the web. Other grades will be added when they are finalised.

 

Division 2 & 3 men's fixtures have been added to the web. Other grades are following.

 

The Veteran Ladies fixture has been added to Fixtures.

 

Congratulations to Jessie Lucas, Cassie Lee and Georgia McCormick for being selected inthe Victorian Under 18 Women's team to play in the Australian Championships in Newcastle 10- 21 April.

Congratulations also to Ben Hooppell for making the Under 18 men's squad and hope he does well in the final three weeks to get selected in the team. 

 

Hockey Victoria invites all members of the North East Country Zone to the Country Zone Development Day;

 

Sunday 18 March 2012 – Albury Hockey Grounds, 9am – 5pm

 

The Country Zone Development Day will provide professional development opportunities for all individuals involved in grassroots hockey.

 

·         Players – Country Development Program, Day 2

·         Coaches – Level 1 Coaching Course

·         Umpires – Community Coaching Course & Assessment

·         Committee Members – Development Meetings with Each Country Association Committee

·         A Country Zone Forum will also be held at the start of the day, where all members of the local hockey communities are invited to continue discussing the future needs of Country Hockey.

Falcons Hockey Club invites applications for coaching all teams in 2012.  Expressions of interest should be submitted to the club secretary at PO BOX 7269 East Albury NSW 2640, or emailed to susandemeo@hotmail.com

 

The Association is calling for clubs to encourage more coaches to get involved with State League to ensure we get the best out of our elite players. In return these coaches can assist clubs to improve the quality of their players.

Expressions of interest are requested for the above mentioned positions for the 2012 State League Hockey Season.

 

The State League Men and Women will be in State League 2 for 2012 and will require a Coach and Manager for each team. We would also encourage coaches to express an interests in:

• Specialised coaching roles such as

  • Goal keeping
  • Short Corners
  • Strategy

CR United has been shocked and saddened to lose our Treasurer Michael Thompson on Thursday 1st Sept.

 

Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife Wendy and son Liam at this extremely sad time.

 

Michael has been a fantastic club person for both Rutherglen and United Hockey Clubs.

 

Our teams will honour him this weekend with black armbands.

 

 

Expressions Of Interest for 2012 Representative Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Squad Managers - NOW OPEN

 To all interested Representative Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Squad Managers, 

 

Nominations are now open for the 2012 Representative Season.  Squads will be announced next week so we would like to finalise these positions as soon as possible.  Nomination forms can be found on the Web under the Representative Banner, then Coaches and Managers.  Please ensure you read the accompanying policy for Coaches and Managers so that you are aware of HAW's expectations and your commitment.  Nominations close on Thursday 1st September. Please have your paperwork to Dennis by email or drop it in the Results box by this date.

The hockey association mourns the death of Vince Fleming the husband of Kay Fleming a long serving member of Wodonga hockey club and canteen supervisor at the Ray White Hockey Centre. Our thoughts and prayers go to Kay and her family.

The following players have been selected for the Australian Country teams` tour of New Zealand which departs on Saturday 9th April:-

Womens: Janessa Leggett & Jo Plowright.

 

The 2 week tour takes in the North Island with matches against various provincial teams, Wellington & Auckland U/21 squads and culminates in the fixture against the NZ Barbarians.
